Behind the Gold Seals: Inside the World of Book Awards Online

Ever wonder what makes a children’s book award-worthy? Join Jewel Davis, current chair of the Caldecott Award committee and jury member of other national awards, for an insider’s look at the fascinating and often surprising world of literary honors. Drawing on experience serving on book awards, Jewel will share insights into the criteria, evaluation, and passion that go into recognizing excellence in literature. The session will conclude with an open Q&A, giving you the chance to ask your burning questions about the process and the books that capture hearts and medals.
